Please Help Monty.

Late this morning Monty was attacked by a pit bull on the Walnut Street Bridge during our walk. The dog latched onto his neck and wouldn’t let go. After much work, the other owner and I (along with bystanders on the bridge) were able to separate the dogs.

Monty suffered wounds on his neck and had to be rushed to the ER at UPenn’s vet school. The owner of the other dog was bit pretty badly by Monty and will probably need stitches on his finger, but that’s neither here nor there for the moment. (That, I am certain, will play out in a predictably ugly fashion.)

Monty’s bill at the ER is estimated to cost $1,000 dollars. This includes x-rays, stitches, meds, and whatever it is they have to do when a pit bull four times the size of your dog decides to treat him like a chew toy. 

As an employee on a monthly salary, I am in my super-brokesville time of the month. I had to call my parents and ask them to help me cover the 50% deposit required for the services. My parents aren’t wealthy, and this was asking a lot of them. They will be paid back with my next paycheck. 

I am selling off some of my possessions to cover the remainder of the bill that must be paid in full when I pick up Monty. If you want to help me, I ask that you please consider buying these items:
