Does anyone know the protocol for storing photo chemicals?
I had a few dark brown bottles, but I filled them all and had to put the fixer in an old, clear juice bottle. I know certain chemicals should be stored away from light as much as possible…I can’t recall if it’s just developer or if it’s just fixer, or both.
I believe that it’s just the developer, but then again, it’s been… a very long time since I was in a dark room (I MISS THAT SMELL, JENNI). Tumblr photo developing nerds?
Keep them all away from direct light (and at a stable room temperature), but if they’re fresh as long as the fixer isn’t purple, you’re good (assuming b&w D-76, T-MAX or the like).
