“I’ve gone through a lot of favorite songs from [Born in the USA]. For a while, “I’m Goin’ Down” was my favorite, and I listened to that constantly. Partially, it may have been the headspace that I was in at the time. It had this happy feel, but somewhat depressing lyrics about going down. There’s this weird mix of bummed out and cheerful about going down. That one really stood out for me. Lately, “My Hometown”, too. The song is so quiet and minimal and haunting. That one I always knew. Obviously, “I’m on Fire” is one of the greatest songs of all time, but the ones that I’ve been listening to constantly tend to be the ones that I was less familiar with when I first bought it.”
